✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the tabletop-inspired tower defense concept and its roguelite mechanics, but find the game becomes frustratingly difficult after the early levels with oppressive RNG, tight resource economy, and prohibitively expensive towers that feel underpowered. Camera controls and inter-level card mechanics are clunky, the game lacks an easy mode, and there's insufficient playtesting evident in the balance and progression, making it feel more like trial-and-error than strategic fun despite its interesting core ideas.

Even at $2 I wouldn't recommend. It stopped being fun quick. The camera is hard to work with. The "cards/tiles" between each level either have no effect or are negative. It is too hard and too much trial and error after the first few levels.

Interesting concept, it's like a tabletop. I like it, however it is fairly difficult.

real basic TD that works well. You can add plots of land on the map, and if you build a tower on this extra plot of land and you kill the enemy, you get a special bonus. Press V for top down mode. There is a roguelite element to this as you can buy better towers. Also to note, you'll be buying and selling towers a lot for different types of enemies which I'm not a real fan of, but it is what it is. Also an easy mode would be appreciated. Thanks. https://steamcommunity.com/groups/towerdefensegamesrated

At this time it needs a lot of work. RNG is a run killer or maker far to much. If you get the golem throwers to early or 3 in a row which I just had you run is over.

Played thru the first five levels so far, and while it isn't great, it was fun. The game rapidly devolved into a nightmare of difficulty however, as the game is stingy in every regard. You rarely get enough cash to do much more than build maybe one tower, and the spells, while interesting looking, are limited both by having really high mana costs, but a time limit between uses as well. The special towers look interesting, but again, the cost is prohibitive. One example is the tesla tower, which requires at least two to even attack, and does almost no damage. What is the point? Sadly there is no pathing, and no fluff. A big thumbs down, which is sad, because the bits and pieces look good and interesting. I suspect there was very little play testing done? No clue why it is so hard.

I paid $2.35 for this, and that was a bit high. I see it is on sale for $1.99. That is the right price. It's a simple game with no replay value, that got pretty old by the 15th stage. I didn't hate playing it though, so for the right price...
