✦ AI summary

Players praise Movie Studio Tycoon as an addictive and surprisingly well-designed management game with solid mechanics for movie creation and business simulation, though some find it lacks endgame content. The main complaints center on serious technical issues, particularly save file corruption that prevents loading games saved later in the game and a money glitch that caps progress at $2.1 billion, which significantly diminish the experience despite the fun core gameplay.

Great Movie Studio Tycoon game. Does a great job creating movies and with the business/distribution side. A very enjoyable and addictive game. The game never crashed, but it does have an issue with Saved games. If you save relatively early in the game you can reload it no problem. If you save later in the game (after 8 years or so) it won't re-load your game. It's a big issue, but the developer has done a great job making the game, and it is well worth the money.

The game is dead. And it has a lot of issues. Why do I have to wait for a year to get my movie released every single time?

Do you know what? This is actually really solid. It's a text based management game so it won't be for everyone. But I work in film and this is a surprisingly accurate (if very simple) portrayal of the business. My only issue (beyond one or two bugs) is that there isn't really an endgame of any kind, you just... keep going into the future, stacking up billions and billions of dollars. Which would be great in real life, if it was that easy. But it's an interesting game and solid work from the dev, and surprisingly addictive. I wish there was an ending, hopefully one will be brought in at some point.

Actually I had a jolly good time playing this, much more than I thought. Infact I have had more play time on this than the recently launched Film Maker Tycoon at 1/5th of the price! Ideally the game could be expanded to include more content making it more playable and interesting because as it stands it is relatively easy to succeed. If the theme appeals and your into Tycoon style games it is a fair price for what it is, there is so much room for growth on this game lets hope the developer expands it further.

It was so fun at first and I spent so long playing and building up (I literally made a steam acc cuz I found this game on YouTube and was obsessed) but it was a waste of time.. here’s why 1.there’s an ongoing glitch where as soon as I hit $2.1bil it automatically switches to an opposite -$2.1bil which forces me to not be able to play 2.a very big issue I’ve noticed for other players and myself is when we save the game (if it doesn’t freeze and crash right then) and come back later it won’t load at all and you just have to start a new game. Other than those two huge issues I really do enjoy playing the game. Now here are some things I’d hope for in the future if those glitches change and I play again! 1.You can hire writers full time and they get better as they go and you can have like an office for them to write at 2.an option to sell scripts. There’s times when i need a Slasher Film script for an actress for a promise and it only has male parts or other instances of that and sometimes it takes like 5+ scripts of the same genre to find at least one for the actress and I don’t wanna repeat a bunch of movies with the same genre. 3.ability to name the scripts your writers wri…
