It’s the kind of idler that requires very little hands-on interaction. You start with a small, empty space and gradually build it into a thriving VHS rental shop. Your character takes care of everything automatically: restocking shelves, sweeping the floor, handling transactions at the counter, and checking in retired tapes while customers browse the shop. Tiny Tape Store is a refreshingly low-maintenance cozy idler where, outside of buying upgrades and new inventory, you mostly just let your shop do its thing. Customers come, your player character sweeps the floor, they return their watched movie (for which there's an optional return box), and once in a while you have enough money for an upgrade/expansion or the shopkeeper jumps for attention to invite you to play a short mini-game. I bought Tiny Tape Store thinking I’d play for 20 minutes. That was a lie. I am now emotionally attached to a fictional tape shop and have strong opinions about where tiny objects should be placed. The game is dangerously cosy. The music? Excellent. The vibes? Immaculate. The tiny tapes? I would die for them. There is absolutely no reason organising a tiny shop should release this much dopamine, yet here we are. Very cute. Very cosy. Very dangerous for my free time!! If you enjoy cosy games, collecting things, decorating, and temporarily abandoning all real-life responsibilities because “I just need to fix one more thing in the shop”, congratulations, this game was made to destroy your free time. 10/10!!

It is a nice side quest while I'm busy playing games or doing some admin. I do somethings get myself staring at it looking at the people coming into my little store. The vide is cool and you always will want to change the layout of the store or buy new lights or vending machines to make it super lekker for the people visiting your store. Thanks to Slakkedis with his unique designs and creative ideas to keep us busy and our minds alive

Very chill, laid back experience. Enjoyed my time with it, and find it calming to just have running in the corner of my 2nd monitor :)
