Touch Type Tale - Strategic Typing

It's a cute idea and fun, but the biggest problem I had was the enemy seemed not balanced at all. Some missions were straight up impossible no matter what I did. I type 70-75wpm so I didn't type slow. It was just impossible to make enough money and train units before you get overwhelmed by the enemy.

The premise is strong, and the challenge remains engaging, particularly for those capable of typing at 80 wpm or above. However, the game’s biggest flaw is ironically tied to its originality. Using typing as a means to manage resources - be they military units, food, or gold - doesn’t always translate well when enemies can strike from every conceivable direction. In a traditional strategy title you’d simply deploy troops along each access point, but here? You type, naturally, yet the flow feels off, as there’s no reliable way to establish the perfect timing needed to withstand sieges. I’ll continue playing, as the game certainly isn’t disposable, but at this price point I expected considerably more. If you’re seeking a strategy experience, this isn’t it: fast, constant typing is mandatory. If you’re seeking a typing trainer, it’s not ideal either: you’ll spend too much time planning strategies while the timer shows no mercy.

Idea is good, content a bit meh. Theres for example no map allowing team fights like 2v2. Its just 1v1 and i think thats boring. The campaign is kind of....i dont know. Not really interesting. It goes back and forth with who you fight for or against and thats annoying, while its also not thrilling enough to keep you hooked. Had other typing games that kept me engaged far better. The spin off maps like the Ship sailing one are also awful, too hard and just not fun. Its visually fine, the gameplay is fine too, but the content should kind of stop with the story and instead have introduced a cool coop mode, team maps and cooperative and solo challenge maps (like fighting zombies etc). For the price asked, i say no.

MEATY If this game wasn't themed around typing, it would still be an excellent strategy game - and the campaign story has plenty of charisma too! Makes me think of the golden era of flash games - Age of War and etc. - but more polished and more variety.

I've only just begun playing this game, but there are a couple of things that make it easy to recommend: 1. Actual gameplay. This is the rare sort of typing game that involves strategy as well as quick touch. I was very pleased to discover that the economy building and army movement systems require thought and skill; it's not enough to type fast (and, in fact, you can be punished handily for tactical mistakes that no WPM could fix). 2. Gorgeous art and animation. The visual style is fantastic, and the presentation is consistently beautiful. Animations are smooth, and everything is teeming with life. I'm really looking forward to playing more of this.
