Finally! This game was actually well optimized! That and... This one is longer than the previous two. o.o Okay well... The third game is between the first and second one. As in... It's not as creepy as the first one, but it's not annoying as the second one. (The only annoyance are those two mini games. >.>) And you NEED this one if you actually care about the story and want to visit some more abandoned places. In the H.O.G. that is. I now understand why I didn't get wth was going on in the second one. Because
everything was a lie anyway.
I don't really have that much to comment on this one either. It was... Just fine. If I really have to say something: Katie is my best friend. Katie is awesome. Katie is far smarter and can solve any puzzle that I want to merely throttle using the full extent of a supernatural force. Thanks Katie! ^-^ Otherwise, enjoyed the series and good work! Thanks you!3 found this helpful
This is a great game. It took 17 hours to play it. I played on casual mode. You can choose more difficult levels it you like. An option I liked is that on certain puzzles you could choose easy, difficult, or advanced. I do like challenging puzzles sometimes. Definitely worth the price.
Great story line, and graphics.
Ruined by stupid and obtuse puzzles that make most of the game clicking random objects in hope they work then laughing at how bad the logic is.
This series blew me away. I usually don't go for horror with jumpscares, but I'm glad I took a risk on it. It has a hidden object game feel even though it's probably closer to a point-and-click puzzle game. It's difficult without being frustrating and has three different challenge levels if a particular puzzle is kicking your ass. While I wasn't sure about the reveal at first (don't worry, no spoilers), I ended up liking it. The trope has been worn a little thin, but this falls under the "A simple meal well made." clause. I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing and hope that they have a new project brewing. Note for new people: Go back and play the first two before tackling part three. This game does have a "Last time on True Fear: Forsaken Souls", but it's much more impactful if you have gone on the full journey.
An excellent adventure game featuring a rich and engaging story, intuitive item interactions, well designed puzzles, optional hidden object scenes, and convenient fast travel. Even a decade later, it remains an enjoyable experience. The final part opens with Holly back at her house, but this brief flashback merely serves to teach you the basics before the real story begins weaving its way toward a deeply satisfying conclusion. What initially seems like a straightforward ghost story gradually transforms into one of the best I've ever experienced. Since the game is divided into three games that largely share the same mechanics, there is not much new that can be said about them, and one review fits them all. From a gameplay perspective, this is a point and click adventure. You explore scenes looking for interaction points and activate them with the left mouse button. Hotspots are not highlighted, so you need to move the cursor around and watch for it to change into a different icon that already indicates what action will take place. The most common icons are a magnifying glass, which either triggers a comment from Holly or opens a close up view of an object, a hand that lets …
