No, it isn't remotely historical, or even remotely close to a simulator, let alone an arcade simulator, but it's a load of fun with lots of small, but expansive additions that create for a fun time. I leave my simulation enjoyments and challenges to my "Silent Hunter", "Cold Waters" and "UBOAT" titles in my Library. That's for my serious simming, along with my many Jane's titles, by Sonarlysts. If you just want to have fun, and by jingo there's loads to be had here, with subs, bases to be built, warships and Zeppelins (yup) in your inventory (should you buy the DLC's, which I urge you to), all with the options to build, buy or upgrade (or all three), then dive in, no pun intended. Think Beachhead at sea.

Uboat Attack, developed by VOODOO and published by QubicGames, is an action-oriented submarine game that focuses on immediacy and accessibility rather than deep simulation. While the premise draws from naval warfare, the execution leans far more toward arcade-style gameplay than realism, creating an experience that is easy to grasp but limited in long-term depth. The gameplay loop is built around short, mission-based encounters that emphasize positioning and timing. Players must maneuver their submarine into advantageous angles, lock onto targets, and fire at the right moment to maximize damage. Enemy ships respond with counterattacks, forcing players to balance offense with evasion. Although there is a light tactical element in choosing how to approach each situation, the pace remains fast and reactive, favoring quick decisions over careful planning. This gives the game a sense of constant movement, where there is rarely a moment of downtime once a mission begins. Progression plays …

No instructions. No support. It's cheap, and for a reason. Fancy arcade junk.

Far more enjoyable than I expected it to be. Good visuals, challenging enough game-play but also simple enough to not need an engineering degree to learn, and DLC that are actually worth it. All in all, I have zero regrets about this purchase!
