ULTIDARK is a small indie game with a simple idea. You play as Whitey, a stickman who ends up trapped inside a dangerous dimension and has to find a way out. Instead of fighting enemies, the game focuses on moving through the world, solving puzzles, avoiding monsters, and using your abilities to survive. The biggest positive is the atmosphere. The dark fantasy setting is a nice change from the usual stickman games, and the idea of being trapped in a world full of unknown dangers gives the game a bit of mystery. The pixel art style also fits the theme well and helps create a creepy feeling without needing high-end graphics. The platforming looks like the main focus, and having extra movement abilities like higher jumps, running faster, and pushing objects gives you more to do than just walking from one area to another. The puzzle side also seems like a good fit because the game is built around surviving and finding your way through the environment rather than just fighting everything in your path.
