About Undarkened: Revival
Undarkened is a wizarding survival-adventure game where you must unravel the mystery of what, or who, corrupted your homeland. Explore a devastated world alone or with your friends, find out what happened, and try everything you can to save your home.
You entered a portal with seemingly nothing wrong, but when you emerged, the world and everyone you knew was gone.
Explore a world ravaged by corruption. Visit the ruins of places you once knew to uncover the mystery of what happened. Investigate sites of magical importance to try and resurrect a world fallen.
Craft tools to help you survive. Progress from primitive stone tools to magic-infused instruments of the now. Conquer your surroundings with your arcane acumen.
Construct a base of operations that rivals even the fanciest of castles. Store your loot and build stations to aid in the creation of mundane and arcane tools. Create magical machines to automatically obliterate nearby enemies, or to streamline materials processing and gathering. Make a spell table to develop and hone entirely unique spells.

This game plays like a hobby project, not a commercially viable project. This could be forgiven if the Early Access state was "I'm entering early-pre-alpha", but not when it is "fairly feature complete" and estimated to be 8 months from release. The stone pickaxe (imagine a stone pickaxe from minecraft) has a cooldown of 4 seconds between each hit. I assume that's a bug, but it's a pretty glaring one. The interface of the build tool is super weird and unwieldy, requiring you to hold the right mouse button while you navigate a file explorer type interface with your mouse and left mouse click to find what you're looking for. Minecraft succeeded as a 1 person project (originally) by having really basic pixel graphics as its aesthetics and basically no menus outside of the inventory screens. Valheim succeeded as a 1 dev project because the 1 dev had other people on his team to help with the graphics and UI. This game does neither.12 found this helpful
