Velocity G

Meh... I enjoyed this game as a throwback to F-Zero/Wipe-out/Extreme-G but simply put it failed to meet those expectations, the controls feel good but rubber-banding felt painful whilst some levels requiring a level of optimisation that simply isn't worth attaining with the lack of ingenuity or interest due to lack of individual direction. Sadly giving this a negative review even though yes I enjoyed it, but that's more akin to me saying holy-moly something is TRYING TO BE F-ZERO, and yes of course I'll try it for that reason. Again this simply isn't good enough.

Equal parts F-Zero and WipeOut, this is a fun and cheap little title to play if you don't have access to any of the aforementioned inspirations. Seems to sync up exclusively with XBOX controllers with no good way to button map to my DualShock, which was a huge disappointment. Besides that, it should be played only if need sometime more but not different. Plenty of races to participate in, but not much outside of it's flashy and simple exterior. +Works well enough as a futuristic racer +Plenty of races to participate in -No DualShock support found -Feels outdated in design -Limited customizing feature Final Verdict: Velocity G lacks speed and originality, but it's a cheap and simple option, nonetheless.

A difficult game with 12 different tracks, each track can be played at 2 levels of difficulty. Choose wisely your team and enhance your racer by winning races. The AI is surprisingly good for an independent title. At the beginning, only 4 tracks are unlocked, but you will unlock them by winning races. The unlocked tracks are better than the 4 default ones.

idk why it says I got only 6 minutes...maybe because it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crashed in mid race earlier. Ah yes, Motion Sickness: The Game. I never thought I'd get it from a game since I don't even have it irl. Congratulations to this game I guess! Also the heavy bloom effect on the cartoony graphics does NOT help the game at all. It feels cheap, made in like 2-3 hours in Unity, the controls are garbage(it's not even the ones you think you have since it shows WASD & Space but it is arrows & ENTER, yes...♥♥♥♥♥♥ ENTER to use powerups), the waiting times are annoying & the AI is absolutely insane. I can never reach the guy in 1st, he is just GONE from the start and never misses boosts and always 7+ seconds ahead, with no way to catch up. What even is this game? Just don't bother.

Velocity G is a game based in a futuristic environment where players race high speed through giant tunnels. At first glance your mind might wander off to, "WOAH IS GOING TO BE LIKE F-ZERO?!" well to be honest I wanted this game to be that for me but it does fall short in some aspects. The single player mode is called the Championship campaign, you'll be racing laps on tracks, drag racing, and sprinting to unlock more vehicles and upgrades. The game looks great and you can definitely get a good sense of speed but after playing for awhile you kinda get a feel of what you're going to be doing the whole game. Racing through.. a tunnel.. the same radius circle track that moves left and right occasionally. No matter what mode or vehicle it all kinda feels the same with the only hazards being bumping into other players and roadblocks every once in awhile. I wouldn't say this game is bad, I just wish It had a little more PAZAZ to it that really pushes it over the edge to definitely recommend. [Disclaimer: I received Velocity G for free. This game is great! It's great for local co-op and single player. Racing unlocks in-game cash which unlocks music, tracks, and new carts and designs. Runs fine with an xbox one controller on windows 10 and even it it doesnt there is xpadder and x360ce. Also buying this game also supports Gravity Chase and other great games coming out from this small indie team!
