About Venice 2089

The city of Venice, once a significant tourism destination but now almost uninhabited, is struggling with the unpredictable behaviour of tides. Some of the most important monuments are being taken away, among the complaints of the citizens, and the lower part of the city becomes inaccessible more often than not. In Venice 2089, you'll explore the city through the eyes of Nova, a bored teenager who has no clue about what to do in life and just wants to relax from the stress of their usual routine. Yet tides change for everyone without exception...

Navigate the streets of the city in a unique 2.5D artstyle. Explore numerous points of interest from Nova's Boat-house in Santa Marta to the cleaner calli of Punta della Dogana. And watch out for the rising tides, they'll change the way you move throughout Venice!

Meet a diverse cast of characters scattered throughout the city. Know their personalities, learn their points of view and help them in different quests. Fill your house-boat with important objects, and remember the experiences you made.

Use your hoverboard to navigate Venice, perform tricks and create a dynamic soundtrack that'll match your mood. Interact with the world using your drone, collect objects out of your reach and solve some puzzles.

Hoping that Venice does not become another Atlantis.

While the game has it's fair share of minor bugs i did have fun playing it. It's a pretty relaxing game with a nice soundtrack and a good artstyle. The hoverboard was insanely fun to use once i got the hang of it.

Venice 2089 has a strong foundation that I think the devs should be really proud of. The art is unique and well done, and the world and the idea behind its mechanic is interesting. I don't recommend Venice 2089 despite these strong foundations because it doesn't feel like it was developed all the way into a game. Almost every aspect, from quests to animations to dialogue, feel like they're left unfinished. This feels like a rough draft of a game. I've played (and loved) games that were rough around the edges, but the ways in which Venice feels unfinished impede it enough for it to become unenjoyable. I think that the devs should be very proud of the idea they've had and what they've made here, and simultaneously I think if this game had a final 20% development and polish that it's currently lacking it'd be a much more enjoyable game. I don't want to put down what Venice 2089 is - it's more of a video game than I've ever made, for one - but I do want to highlight what it isn't as the reason for not recommending it. It isn't in a state that feels like a finished game. If you're really enamored by the concept and want to support the dev team, I'd pick it up, but otherwise I don't re…

In short, an exploration game with a hover board (& fetch quests). story Nova is allowed to help out the residents in Venice during her 6th vacation day. gameplay There are high tide and low tide levels. Different areas can be reached depending on the tide. In addition, a new district is added almost every day. In the course of the game you get a drone with which you solve simple puzzles. Apart from that, there are only fetch quests. Cons -framdroping sometimes (not game breaking) -no map ( would save time & nerves) -mostly the same music when you are on the road (annoying) -no glossary about characters (nice to have) So you should bring patience and an enthusiasm for collecting.
