Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/0C7q6EF4nJQ This is a neutral recommendation. Is this a bad game? No. If you enjoy endless runners, then I would say this is an average quality runner. You do get a good workout. It's more of an endurance test versus anything else. There's only one map. You can choose night or day. You can choose normal or hard difficulty. You use arm-swing locomotion to traverse the obstacle course. You can crouch, dodge left or right, use left / right trigger to change lanes in a three lane highway. You can also jump up by lifting your arm. You basically do this until you decide you're too tired to continue or you lose all your life points. I was always just too tired to continue on normal difficulty as there was little actual challenge. You collect coins (shields) or health points. You lose a health point if you run into obstacles. There's several different dangers, but they simply consist of timing your dodges, crouches, jumps, or just running by at the right time. Game is running on the Unreal Engine. On my RTX 3080, on high graphical settings, game was running at a steady 90 fps. …

VRIKING is an Early Access Paid VR Runner game. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has 11 steam achievements. Currently, only has one map to run. This game is the work of one person. Maybe buy it if you like runner type games. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. Fun concept - basically subway surfer adjacent VR title Fun gameplay and definitely a decent workout Cannot recommend because there is only 1x level currently - with the game being from 2023 I can only assume development is at a standstill

VR runner game, from the maker of the top-notch VR rhythm game, Cybrid. It was the first time I've played a game like this VR, and given their prevalence of the genre on other platforms, it's a surprise to see this is probably (?) the first on SteamVR. This is a VR arcade game that could fill a ten minute window if you wanted a quick fix of something completely different. But once you get into it, sessions can last longer. What I like most about it, is the sense of speed. The reaction time required in VR once you get up to full speed is kinda cool. It hits a level of buzz that if you lean into it. Can be most satisfying, but it's not getting your synapses firing at a deep delve level. Simple, honest, well executed. And it's another arms game. Swing to speed up. So it can be hard work. If you're burning calories it could be a fun addition to the routine. After many thousands of points, the game started to be a workout. I need to look back into see how it has progressed. At time of playing there was night mode, bad weather and one or two maps. There was plans for more, but as always that depends on how the game sells.
