Solid turn based squad game. Nothing ground breaking to write home about but lets you have a very good time.

It's a good challenge. I bit cookie-cutter from other games similar when it comes to gameplay, but the storyline is fine and it's definitely worth the play time for cost.

Kinda like XCOM, but imo better base building as it's more simplistic (this can also be a bad point though). Graphics and sound effects are good, framerate didn't drop, gameplay is fun. My only real problems so far: My very first mission I've unlocked, was to rescue civilians and the mission was just impossible to win. Too many enemies, varied types of them. I had to rush and it just got me killed really badly. 2nd problem was the camera, sometimes it's very difficult to see what's going on, mostly in buildings and such, I never got a clear view in biuldings with multiple stores.

I wish there was a "maybe" button weather I recommend this or not. It's has good fundamentals but in the end it's very mid. You can customize your characters but options are very limited. Story is very bland, the characters too, it uses AI generated images, the dialogues feel AI generated too. Gameplay is good but it feels simple compared to other games in the genre. If you haven't played Jagged Alliance 3 play that instead. I would recommend this only on a good discount.

A guy with head to toe body armor, first aid, grenades, fully kitted sniper rifle, distance/elevation advantage versus a crackhead with a AK-47.

The basic combat system is actually quite well put together, a very well refined example of the genre. However, the writing is terrible and the dialogue especially swings wildly between PAINFULLY tonedeaf (a character calls africa 'ooga booga land') and suprisingly nuanced unintendedly The worst sin of all though is that the dev is lying on the steam page and the game is still full of obviously AI-generated imagery that really pulls the already struggling visuals down
