One of the top indie horror games I have played in a long time. This game took me about 50 minutes to complete with all steam achievements. It is a shorter game but it doesn't have a bunch of that "filler" other indie games do just to make the game take longer. It sticks to the story and never stops moving until the last second. The visuals/graphics looked great to me and I appreciated all the detail added into the game in the environment. Even the outside part was decent for the very short amount of time you will spend in it. The world is larger then it needs to be but that adds some depth and value to the game. The audio was spot on. No complaints there. The controls where basic and straight forward which I appreciated and they didnt feel clunky to me. The story line took a little bit to get going, make sure you pick up and read every piece of paper you can find. I really enjoyed the story and found myself actually wondering how it would play out. Typically when I play indie games the story tends to be lacking, boring, and strung out. This game was none of that. I did not see the ending that it had coming until the last few minutes and the very end was a bit hard to get through f…2 found this helpful
3/10 I recommend to get on sale. Only recommend this game if you like a extremely slow paced walking simulator. I don't really like games like this, but I can tell the dev put a lot of work into it. I do see similarities to other similar games and I don't recall if they were made by the same person of if others are reusing the same backgrounds and landscapes for different games. I hate the pacing of this game. At times it is painfully slow. I enjoy walking simulators but ones like this are tedious and it feels like you are pacing back and forth until you trigger the next event. Would be nice to have objectives listed somewhere. There are a couple of jump scares. The story is okay. Would be nice to have a save feature.1 found this helpful
Great cheap horror game! I really enjoyed it. Very spooky. Check out my gameplay here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3448240/Who_am_I/
I want to start out by saying Redsroll is one of my favorite Indie devs. I am playing this after playing unseen and CUTS and this was one of his first games he made. Having said that, this was not his best game. The good: Atmosphere was solid, the graphics were amazing, the scares were good, The sounds throughout the game kept you on the edge of your seat. Now the bad: There's way too much reading in this game. The best thing about CUTS was the compelling story that was told through visual storytelling. This was like reading a book to keep up with the story. Another bad was the puzzle close to the end of the game. To me it didn't make any sense and after I finally figured it out, it felt like a big waste of time. It took me out entirely at the end of the game. Finally, the story was a little all over the place. It felt hard to keep up especially when you have to remember everything you had read. All in all not very good but has some good elements. I look forward to playing another one of his games soon!
