Great Improvement over the first one... Was easier comparatively, but more fun... Gameplay was a great improvement with introduction to magic, and characters (and combat too) had more depth in general compared to the first one. The grind is fun and in no shape or form tedious. Also, lots of easter eggs were there throughout and had a blast finding them... Bosses were dynamic but lot easier compared to YS 1, except a few, but u can easily over-level urself (not possible in the 1st title as level cap was 10) and defeat bosses without much rage. Final boss was way too easy though, especially after equiping shield magic, but It is What it isss... Overall great title - Would recommend... P.S.: Some of the achievements within the game are a bit sus tbh...
I was honestly expecting basically the exact same game as the first ys but with different dungeons and characters, so I was surprised to play a game that improved upon its predecessor in virtually every way. The leveling is wayyyyyyyy more balanced, the bosses are (mostly) pretty good, and the addition of magic really gives the combat that extra dimension that it needed. Some of the archaic design elements found in the first game are still present, but toned down for the most part. Also you can actually leave the final dungeon in this one, and there's no god awful dark fact fight. So yeah its pretty good.
