✦ AI summary

The Artisan of Glimmith is praised for its stunning visuals, excellent music, and intellectually challenging puzzle design with clever deduction-based mechanics that keep players engaged. The main complaints center on repetitive music, a simplistic overworld that feels disconnected from the puzzle focus, and clunky controller support that emulates mouse input. Players consistently recommend the game for its inventive puzzle variety and deep gameplay experience, though some note the misleading marketing regarding the overworld presentation.

The overworld is mostly a glorified puzzle selector and the music gets very repetitive, but that's about the only negatives I can find. I didn't even mind the simplicity of the overworld because the puzzles are the main focus anyway, but I do wish the trailer on the Steam store was less focused on detailed shots of the overworld in a level of detail I haven't even seen in the game, that's bound to mislead people and ruffle some feathers. Something I absolutely loved that was central to my enjoyment of this game is that every single puzzle has only ONE solution. Not a couple you can randomly land on with trial and error. Just the one right solution. Despite the game telling me that early on, I still kept trying to find multiple solutions to some easy puzzles because it definitely seemed like it could be solved multiple ways but nope. This meant that for the tougher puzzles, there was always a sense of progressing by figuring out which moves were absolutely 100% certain, much like you'd do with a Sudoku or Picross puzzle. This meant I could rely on my instincts and quick thinking to solve easier problems, while relying on logic when fully stuck to make small bits of progress that ev…

Insanely well done puzzles :-) I feel like there could be better controller support, right now it just emulates the mouse which can be a bit clunky.

imagine a forest of puzzles. Sudoku and hashi, and pentominos and mazes. This game is not a single tree, but an illuminated clearing, with hundreds of inventive ideas from quippy logic to entire new puzzles. This game keeps on giving.
