Eng+Ru review. A very cute, incredibly beautiful and wonderfully relaxing game. I had already completed Season After Fall on PC in the free version. But now I grabbed this wonderful game during an incredible sale for just about $0.75, and decided to play through it again on Steam — to dive back into this warm and beautiful world and, of course, collect all the trophies along the way. One of the things that really stands out is the visual style. The whole world looks as if it was painted with a real brush. There are no perfectly sharp edges or clean, precise lines — everything has this slightly soft, brush-painted look that gives the game a genuine hand-painted art style. It’s incredibly beautiful and gives the whole game a warm, almost storybook-like feeling. It’s a slow-paced adventure with no action, no stress and no need to make quick decisions. There are no particularly difficult puzzles or intense combat — the game simply lets you enjoy its beautiful world, music and atmosphere. Warm, gentle and genuinely relaxing. A perfect game for a quiet evening when you just want to switch off, slow down and spend some time in a beautiful world. Highly recommended as a relaxing game…

A rather beautiful piece, celebrating nature with its art and soundscape. A story that is enough to give the events a framing, but nothing to write home about. As a game, it's a simple platformer, with an environment-changing gimmick. It works well, and doesn't overstay its welcome by dragging itself out. A solid evening of platforming with pleasantly fluid controls.

[b] Change the seasons. [/b] A charming and simple story, but not a boring one. Thanks to the art, sound and the fact that most of the dialogue comes from the narrator, playing the game can feel like listening to a story being told to children. What makes it more engaging than most platformers is the season-changing mechanic. Whenever you change the season, the whole map changes and elements of the environment behave differently. The game can get a little boring at times because the map isn't very big, and you have to revisit areas now and then to make use of a new season. However, the game isn't very long, so it's not that much of a problem.

Absolutely loved this game. Visually beyond pleasing, to the point I would sometimes pause what I'm doing just to enjoy the scenery and art! The gameplay is very similar to Ori, minus the fighting part. It was fun, mainly involving jumping puzzles and exploration. In terms of difficulty, I'd say the puzzles were pretty straightforward and not particularly hard. The story was cute. Overall, playing Seasons After Fall felt like reading a cozy bedtime story as a child, accompanied by the stunning visuals and somehow nostalgic narrating. The only thing I can say I didn't love about this game was the absence of a map. I understand that it is intended and probably fits the game much better this way but sometimes it felt frustrating and disorientating losing my way, not remembering where specific places were and wasting a good amount of time trying to locate them. Regardless, I see this more as a personal nitpick than actual criticism towards the game. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it made me feel very relaxed and happy and kind of nostalgic even!

A really fun game. I love the style, the music and the story. The season mechanic is really interesting too. My only real complaint is about the Cicada puzzle, but nothing you can't get past with a guide.
