Zengeon

Not a bad game, but not worth buying. All the characters rely on stacking artifacts and life drain to win. No real skill difference between characters, but laser beam chick allows for multi-hitting, so she instantly cheeses the game. Without the cheese, I'm unsure if anyone can consistently win with other characters. 5/10 playable, but bad balancing makes it a one-session play.

No progression saves between runs, so it starts fresh every time you play. Would much prefer at least some kind of saved progress

Games with isometric and top-down perspective is usually not something I play but since Zengeon game seemed to have some neat anime styled characters I decided to give it ago. Visually its ok. The characters, which have very generic designs, are better than the environments, but it all come together in a solid package. Zengeon makes the odd choice of adding outlines to the environments, rather than leaving them exclusive to characters and props, which gives the game a western comic book feel. Players that are into crowd control and isometric combat like LOL and DOTA2 might enjoy it. Its a fun little game, but not enough for me to want to continue playing.

Twin stick would make this game actually not too bad. As it is it's horrible.
