Compared to other Civilization this game is graphicly great looking but it is not complete. Possibility when they have there first DLC come out or second it would make this game great in the series, but for the time being I can not recommend this game currently. Just does not feel like a Civilization game in this current state. Stick with Civ 5 or 6 for the time being which I will be doing.

Has its rough spots, and the devs are slow with progress but its getting better and ive enjoyed it enough to put over 400 hours into it. Still waiting on proper mod tools..... Theyve shifted their dlc framework closer to Paradox's style however in MP you must have the dlc to play as the dlc civ (while in pdx games only the host need the dlc for every one to have full access which is nice when you have over 100$ worth of dlc)

well. gotta give credit where credit is due. it's substantially better than at launch. not perfect, not great, but playable. im optimistic now for the upcoming patch.

Horribly woke. So woke the British empire can't be played because of colonialism, barbarians can't be called barbarians because it might be racist. And worse of all the leaders, the previously had the worlds greatest leaders, now has Harrold Tubman. Punished these people, don't give them your money.

Looks very pretty. The fog of war looks extra cool honestly. But I'm not a huge fan of the crisis mechanic. Not sure why they hate the worker unit so much either. It's pretty chill, but I don't think I'd pay 69,99€ for it. I prefer Civ 5 and BE. Runs pretty well though, even the native Linux build :)

The game isn’t even finished yet. Compared to previous games in the series, this one could be a prototype still in development, with huge shortcomings. It’s frustrating, given that the game manages to capture the atmosphere of the series but falls apart at the slightest hiccup. I’ll keep an eye on the progress of the updates, but the game isn’t for me at the moment, and I’ll wait for the next major update in the hope of finding what I feel is missing.
