Kotama and Academy Citadel

This game is what happens when you put harry potter, Afterimage, Dragonloop, [spoiler]MiO[/spoiler], and Blasphemous 2 into a blender and turn it on. The game is mid for a while but it gets better as you progress. The english translation is gramatically correct but the tone is all wrong and extremely formal. Go to the chinese embassy website and read some stuff, that is what the translation is like. I loved the combat in this game and the world has a ton of secrets to discover. This is the only metroidvania with a glass cannon charm that makes the game more enjoyable than without, especially as there are a lot of other charms that synergize with it. Anyway, yeah, go buy it!

Imaging getting stuck in dialog that you cannot escape because hitting A loops back into the same NPC dialog, only to have to force close and reopen and lose all the progress you made.

99% of the game is extremely tame actually. underneath the goonerism and post-boss ass shot is a competent metroidvania. nothing original but does what it does well. small map and doesn't overstay its welcome. lots of hidden rooms to find with actual rewards instead of +200 currency. would like to see where these devs go next. extended thoughts [url=https://backloggd.com/u/moonvigilant/review/5373459/]here[/url]

pretty fun game. movement and platforming feel great. dual blades are rly fun, the other weapons are alright. parry feels decent and dodge feels great. bosses are dissapointing. the game feels polished overall, with good map desing. story is meh i didnt rly care too much for it objective rating: 7.5/10 fun rating: 7.5/10

sluggish control confusing story

If you're a fan of the Metroidvania genre this is a must play. Map design that rewards exploration and a little "outside of the box" thinking Enjoyable combat with unique weapons and mechanics. Great movement tools that enhance the gameplay and make exploration worthwhile. Bosses that will test you and your understanding of the game. Overall a great experience that will leave you satisfied at its conclusion.
