Legend of Grimrock

If you like running around in circles and hitting something you might not always hit. This is the game for you. Interfaces and party actions shouldn't be so complexed. Multiple enemies just don't help either. Make a decent base engine. A simple one. Then make the dungeon crawling and puzzle solving as hard as you like. Don't want to do that. At least put in a turn based option..? No.... Just not impressive or enjoyable to recommend from me

Very good modernization of the classic blobber dungeon crawl. Good puzzles and great art. Worth playing if you like the genre, especially if the classics feel too dated for you.

I was a fan of "Eye of the Beholder" back in the day, and I picked up Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2 partly due to this, and partly because it was developed by a small team of developers. I wasn't sure if I'd still enjoy a grid-based RPG after years of playing more recent games, but it is well written, stable, great design and good enemy models. The puzzles are challenging in places, but not stupidly hard, the monsters are challenging (even with the Grim-step). Oh, and the sounds effects are really realistic.

Fun dungeon crawler. I finished it twice. The second time looking up all secrets I missed. Would recommend this for people who liked all the old dungeon crawlers.
