Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

As a returning rf fan. This was just a huge disappointment. First I hate the campy tone they started doing with 4. RF Used to feel like home. Those vibes are gone. No houses, NPCs don't have Real schedules, instead you make them and they don't matter because their side npcs. Named Npcs exist for you. Sure they wander around but its all shallow. Theres barely any harvest moon mechanics, and what's there is shallow and boring. The localization is ass. Usually you can get away by changing the voice but the writing is that crappy gen z ♥♥♥♥ that makes you wish AI did the translation. The characters are a step in a better direction art wise. But personality wise just the same basic anime tropes. Except with no family, no responsibilities and no friends outside the player character. Leaving them all stale and bland. A lot of my complaints I can admit come from the fact that the last RF game I enjoyed was 3. The tone has changed and it lost a lot of charm for me. Pre 4 RF was a bit melancholy and ethereal. It had a lot of happy emotions but with that calm somber tone. A lot more earthy tones and colors. Felt really beautiful. But since 4 its bright colors, stupid quips, and high energ…

So far with my experience (Sept 5th 2026), it has the perfect amount of what it has to show. Farming, not overhwelming. Combat simple enough and the relationships with the dateable characters is *chefs kiss* I already know I'm logging in more hours on this

2nd copy of this awesome game. I beat it on Switch, now I am going to beat it on PC.

so good so much in depth story telling i love the outfits the gardening the emersive story for sure worth it i have had 5 hours of non stop fun playing the storyline and you even get to ride a dragon around fight with diffrent weapons including bow and arrow the entire lot you also get to pick your character and choose how you fight or progress within your story this game is a masterpieace and im truly happy with the game and all the dlc i have purchased so fun cozy and relaxing graphics aare beautiful storyline is so good their is so much content in this game you will not be disapointed
