✦ AI summary

Let Them Come is a straightforward 2D shooter focused on blasting aliens down a hallway with satisfying gunplay, dynamic lighting, and crunchy pixel art that most players find engaging and addictive as a time killer. The main complaints center on its repetitive nature with little variety between waves, limited campaign length, and somewhat grindy progression, though players generally feel the core shooting mechanics are well-designed.

This game is a go to time killer for me, I own it on console and loved it there and have been enjoying this 2D shooter once again. It is simple fun an addicting, may not be for everyone but i will keep playing.

This is one of those simple, cheap little games that knows exactly what it wants to be.. and that is one of the flaws I think is most obvious. It is about exactly *one* thing: shooting aliens down a hallway. Everything about the game is engineered to make that as satisfying as possible, rather than, I dunno.. variety. There is little difference in between the first wave and the last NG+ ones, other than like, numbers and effects. However, what meat is there is very, very well designed. The crunchy, pixelated look of the environments and the aliens pairs really well with the dynamic lighting the (corridor-shaped) levels offer. Every little thing that can project light does, which usually boils down to exploding aliens, bullets, and grenades, all of which illuminate the backdrop, casting shadows and blending into the massive, gory chain reactions you can cause. That's another thing great about this game: it gets *gory* and screenshakey and it's awesome! Not much more to say, really. This game is a fun, if slightly repetitive, time, especially for how cheap it goes on sale. Worth your money if you want something quick and satisfying!

This game is almost exactly a "Dollar per hour" value. I finished the game in around 6 hours. But if you're willing to do the challenges after the first run through, and new game+, it's even more worth it. In my 8 hours of this game I had quite a few set backs, but I never felt "stuck". There were times I had to grind replaying a few waves to make enough money to upgrade myself, but it was never for too long. You can play a lot of different builds and if you're like me, be a little stubborn about what you use and force the build to work. I played through most of the game with the exact same items the entire time. That's not a bad thing, I still had to change them *sometimes* and I feel like that's perfectly fine. If you fail a wave enough, they let you either reroll the waves enemies or start with an upgrade, I usually chose the upgrade option because the "reroll enemies" option felt like I was admitting I couldn't win. Luckily, the enemy designs, effects and lighting are great and the music is exactly what a game like this needs, not all the same sound profile, but still in a "theme" of being music you can zone out/focus to, so it's interesting the whole way through. If you're…

Short, simple, enojable. Great indie to pick on sale. A little grindy.

Fun, Addictive, but far too short. In general this is a great game, the only problem is that it's rather short. The campaign needs to be longer... have more missions... I'd also love to see an expansion on the current item system. Like the ability to upgrade to a double barrel gun on a permanent basis, or have double damage (or a damage multiplier) be more persistent.
