About miniquest

The LORD OF CATASTROPHE has returned once again to bring misery to the land! Create your party of four CHOSEN HEROES, mixing and matching between six different classes. Battle the forces of evil across more than a dozen unique chapters, each with their own obstacles. But do not despair, for you possess the blessing of the GODDESS OF TIME. Defeat simply means a chance to tell the story again... **Your quest is a battle of attrition. Manage your HP, MP, and HUNGER as you chart a path through each chapter of the story. Encounter monsters, random events, treasure, and sometimes blissful nothing! The more battles you win, the more XP you gain, but face too many enemies and you may find yourself too weak for the BOSS. Spend your GOLD wisely, and don't forget to use those ITEMS!**Every point of damage matters in this simple, yet deep combat system. Plan your turns out carefully and CHECK the enemy's capabilities, or you may meet a swift end. Choose whether to LEVEL UP your party members evenly, or focus on a few favourites. Acquire dozens of powerful SKILLS as you progress towards your inevitable destiny. **Evil is never truly vanquished, only forestalled. Explore new chapters and alternative routes through this ENDLESSLY REPEATING odyssey. Create synergistic builds and PLAN YOUR PATH carefully in order to reach the toughest areas. Watch as the world is afflicted by MADNESS time and time again. Wonder whether anything can truly last FOREVER.  Search in vain for SALVATION. Catch a fleeting glimpse of FREEDOM.**

Excellent puzzle rpg! solid replay value, engaging, a fun story, but also works perfectly as just something to play while in a call. charming asf :3

The branching minimalist story and 2D retro NES vibes are my favorite parts of miniquest. I really like that my choices can lead the story in different directions instead of everything feeling completely predetermined. It gives the title replayability, and gives me plenty of curiosity about what I might have missed in past campaigns. Having a bite-size campaign that can be finished in about 3 hours or less is really great for a dad like me who is always on the go haha. I also have a lot of respect for the fact that miniquest was made by a solo developer. Big props to Dennis Gallant/Dire Bee Games! There’s something really cool about seeing one person put this much creativity and effort into a game and actually bring it all together. This is a charming little RPG with a lot of personality, and you can tell there’s genuine passion behind it. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy indie RPG games and supporting solo developers.

As a beginner, this retro style game was fun and challenging. The story was engaging encouraging me to play more. I look forward to exploring further and would recommend it to new or experienced gamers.

Played for just about an hour and I am hooked already. Reminds me a lot of gaming from my middle school years and in an age of gaming where all we get is AAA slop filled with microtransactions a $5 game with this much going for it is a breath of fresh air. Will be coming back to this one when I need some casual gaming time.

Fun retro-style game. I don't play a lot of games but I had fun!
