Cosmic Fear

If you're a fan of walking simulators and cosmic horror, you will enjoy this. The graphics are phenomenal. I didn't have any issues with the gameplay, and navigating the areas was easy. Not sure how some players who left negative reviews got lost, as the vast majoirty of the game is almost on rails and there are lights to guide you at almost every stage of the game... Overall, these negative reviews were left from clueless players rather than the developers level design failing, as the maps are fine to navigate. Anyhow, the game could have been scarier but the developer went down a more exploratory route with most of your time spent reading notes, exploring, and looking at how stunning the visuals are. Audio design was really well done too, and the lighting is fantastic with how crisp and bright they looked on my QD-OLED monitor.

Yes Ill recommend it, but like if its $7.99. Looks great, story is cool, play is meh. But the trilogy is okay to run through in a weekend. Got a lot more out of RadioLight.

Cool game overall, definitely a step up from the previous releases. Turned into a bit of a walking slog towards the end, but that didn't take much away from the overall experience, as it doesn't last very long. Speaking of that, the game is a bit short, and the end feels somewhat abrupt. Cool idea with the briefcases, but since the game doesn't have any other replay value, I feel like whatever is in them is a bit wasted, as I myself don't feel the urge to replay entire chapters for what I am assuming is a bit more lore or other documents.

Cosmic Fear is a good atmospheric horror game! The ambiance was eerie, and honestly, horror games centered around aliens are always fun to me. That being said, I do feel like the game dragged on a little too much. There was way too much back-and-forth walking, and at times I had little to no direction on where I was supposed to go next. It made certain sections feel more tedious than scary. Also, the game crashed twice and one time crashed my whole PC ending my stream. I’d still recommend Cosmic Fear to anyone who loves slow-burn, atmospheric horror and creepy alien stories. However, if you’re not a fan of walking sims or games with a lot of wandering around, you may want to look elsewhere.
