I bought this on sale years ago and finally played it last month, and the thing that hooked me is how every ability does double duty: the uppercut and headbutt you use to crack colored shields in a fight are the same moves you need to reach a ledge later. Combat is punchy and the dimension swapping puzzles genuinely made me feel clever once they clicked, plus the soundtrack with all the trumpets and guitars stayed in my head for days. It's not perfect, some of the shield colors blur together in a busy brawl and the 2014 meme humor lands with a thud now, but at roughly 9 hours it never dragged for me. If you want something colorful and lively that doesn't demand a Hollow Knight level of pain, get it. Also you can turn into a chicken, which should honestly be the whole store page.1 found this helpful
3 hours of gameplay is all it took for me to decide this is one of my favorite video games of all time. As a pro wrestling fan and a metroidvania fan, this game scratches every itch. The music, art, and characters are all fun and charming. Can't wait to dive deeper. Shout out to the devs for this love letter to luchadors and metroidvanias.

Got it for free a while ago, it doesn't have the most attractive cover art but I'm glad I gave it a go. It's a fantastic brawler/platformer with some cool wrestling finishers. The difficulty is perfect for average players and there're frequent checkpoints even in boss fights. Though the hard mode is locked behind game completion so veterans might find it not ideal.
Really enjoyed this game, its a really awesome metroidvania , but variety of abilities and how you combo is really cool
