Shelter 2

Good story game! It has a bit of replay ability if you're a collector or just like to see the different areas, each run is about 2 hours. I didn't personally get super into finding all the little things, because it's a little repetitive after a few runs, but it's still a beautiful art style that I like to return to occasionally. Sound design is very pretty too. It's less guided than Shelter 1 or Paws. I liked the other games they made, but in my opinion this is the best one. fair warning; I also found this game when i was quite young so alot of the fondness is also based on nostalgia. I think some of the mechanics are a *tad* jank when you're trying to escape the predators, but overall its pretty reliable. Nothing game breaking, and I have never lost a kit to bugs personally.

Wonderful game! I will say it can be a bit buggy at times, and there's not a lot of challenge to keeping your kits alive. Once you know what the threats are, they're pretty easy to avoid. But the art style is beautiful, the gameplay is fun and relaxing, and I enjoyed playing and replaying through a long family tree.

i grew up playing shelter 2, so a lot of my opinions are a bit biased, however even today i still enjoy this game deeply despite it being a repetitive, clunky game. i wouldnt recommend this game as something to play expecting a long story, BUT i would 100% recommend it if ur looking for a game to pass the time with! each run takes about an hour roughly, and each season takes about 10-15 minutes to pass i would say. i would recommend to get this while its on sale + with the dlc, as the base game doesnt have much to it, but even then, its still great if you just want to pass the time, and theres a lot of collectibles to get as well, if youre looking for something to 100%.

I lost Cookie & Dough, RIP Cookie Dough. When the cubs are still little, stick to the beginning map, where there are no birds of prey, or wolves. Don't be curious and cross the tree bridge or the frozen river into loss and despair. Pretty walking simulator, but with the stress of motherhood.

I don't know if I've ever been so stressed playing a game in my life then I was when my babies almost died on the hardest difficulty. Some of the collectables are a little broken but there are some very good guides that show you workarounds to get them.
