I love how lighthearted Micronomicon: Heroes look (despite looking a lot like a mobile game) and feel (pretty good graphics, excellent music), but I seriously cannot recommend this game, mainly because of its completely RNG-based combat, and terrible balancing.
Watch me play!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJu2ZpRIc7M These are some of the mechanics that I've noticed in the game that seriously need changing: 1. Fix the RNG-driven combat please. This is a main turn-off for me since if I happen to be at the receiving end of a few critical hits, there's basically no point strategizing. 2. Ranged characters can hit anyone on the map - you need to nerf the range a bit or at least make the map larger 3. Ranged characters need to be able to move more - just so they can escape from a melee enemy who can apparently just one-hit them to death 4. Enemy bosses are often too OP - they can basically one-hit kill most of your team. 5. You need to actually balance the cooldown for each characters' skills and not just give them all the same CD. Having a longer CD for attacking skills is okay, but for heals, especially when it's so weak, you'll need to reduce the CD. 6. Heals are …

In this video I take a look at Micronomicon: Heroes a simple turn based strategy game. This game is simply made with only the one camera angle but the game play is fun and the price is cheap. I actually got carried away and played it for over an hour so for the $5 price tag it's well worth a look. The inventory system is also very good with easy indicators to see better items for your character and an item upgrade crafting system for improving them. Watch the video to see what the game is like..... https://youtu.be/uRnfb7_Myn8 Check'n Games, providing you with as many Let's Play's as we can. Thanks for watching. This is a cute game, I like it, and it's fun. You can't beat the price for what you get. However, there are some concerns. First of all, I can't find a way to start a new game. I played for a while until I got the hang of things and then I wanted to start over and do things 'right.' Well, as far as I can see, you can't start over. Second, there seems to be no additional powers/spells for the characters. Except for equipment upgrades, you are what you are regardless of level. Third, there are some interesting bugs. I died in a battle and re-spawned. Nothing could see me and I couldn't interact with anything/anyone. So, I wandered around the map and took note of where everything was. I quit the game where the 'lever' that opened the next level was. When I restarted I was next to the lever, pulled it, and moved on to the next area. Finally, you get snuffed a lot. You'll re-spawn and try the battle again only to get wiped out again. If you've cleared the map of enemies then you can't earn the xp to level and take on the battle again. Game over, and you can't start a new game... Anyway, I do recommend this game. For the price it's a good way to pass time. It's entertaining. Just be…

The price is a steal and the mechanics are sound. Combat is quick and has a chess-like strategy to it. If you fail, you can immediately retry endlessly... and here lies the only issue: some bosses are too hard that force you to go back to previous maps to grind for XP, items (used to improve the equip) and try again. About half the time is spent this way, which is a pity, and i'm afraid that near the end it can get only worse. But even if you play for just a couple hours, it costs as much as a cup of coffee, which is amazing nowadays. I am at 5h. I do a small run for a hour or less a day, then retry the current boss once or twice. Give it a try if you like RPGs or strategy.

Thanks for the key, fun hexagonal rpg with weak translation and the enemies curve up in strength quickly. Fun to play and cute.
