Explore dungeons, get thrown in jail, discover hidden passageways, burglarize homes, read books, create potions, become and infamous pickpocket, embark on a journey at sea and discover uncharted islands or persuade NPCs to do your bidding. In Antharion no play style is off limits.

Gave it a lot of chances, just not worth the time and effort to put into a sub-par game that is missing a lot of what makes a CRPG good. The limited amount of enemies to fight and finite amount of resources you can find in the game, not to mention how choked you are on currency to do anything worthwhile (if you spend gold on gear you can't spend it on the trainers, and you need both but you can't). You also can't customize your characters in a way that satisfies because no matter what you're missing a lot. You can at most have 3 skills that you're working towards on any given character but even THAT is too many skills and you'll always feel like you're lagging behind against even rats, crabs, and seagulls. Also RNG can bite you in the butt too, if you need 'seagull skin' for a wolfkin's pelt quest, if you didn't luck out in the rng combined with getting foraging up high enough (which involves making your combat skills worse so you're hobbling yourself in the long run) you're likely not gonna get the drops you need for the quest - and remember, the enemies are finite meaning if you killed all the seagulls and they didn't drop enough pelts? Too bad, that quest is bricked on you…

Great little blobber that reminds me of the good old shareware games from back in the day. This would fit in great with Spiderweb games and similar.

I don't reccommend this game it was rushed to release and didn't cook long enough.

The game first seems like another cheap, lazy old-school RPG wannabe... but that's wrong! It actually looks, sounds, and feels amazing! It's very well polished, the graphics are clean, animations are snappy, and the music is A-tier with something strangely nostalgic about it. Combat is tun-based done right - tactical but quick and smooth. It all creates a very solid base for a truly fantastic game. Yes, a base, because some aspects indeed feel unfinished. The world and dungeons are quite large but also rather empty and repetitive; the skill and magic systems are there but lack variety and depth; the story and writing are fine but just fine. Nonetheless, the game is very enjoyable, an easy 7.5/10 for me, with potential for 9/10 if it had more content. Really hoping for a sequel or an expansion.

This game is alright. I got it on sale, and I'm happy with that. It scratches the low commitment dungeon crawler need I have. There are quality of life elements missing to be sure, but taken with a grain of salt, this game is pretty enjoyable. One aspect of this game that I really enjoy: The equipment your characters wear shows up on their models.
