[h1] ♡ TLDR ♡ [/h1] HOA is a beautiful art piece coupled with lovely relaxing music - and this sadly, is where my praise must end. [h3] ♡ DETAILS ♡ [/h3] I hate to have yet another negative review, but I just cannot recommend this game. With 2.7 hours playtime (and at least 40 minutes of non-progression playing with my cat or lost in the dark); $15 USD just does not feel worth the experience you get. If it was $5 total, maybe on sale for $3 - Id say - ok, sure - that seems fair... Not because I think peoples hard work shouldn't be compensated, but primarily because it fails at being anything other than artwork - and by the end, it somehow even failed at that by introducing asinine mechanics that simply take away from its beauty - had they been implemented well, perhaps I would have a better opinion. I really enjoyed this game, it was cosy and cute. I like the basic elements to it, however in the second half towards the end of the game I found the inverted part really tricky put my mind and skills to the test. I Definitely recommend to any players who like platformer, puzzles, and just enjoy a cosy game. :)

meh. it wasnt bad, it wasnt great. slow paced, and some unnecessary back tracking throughout. For a 3 hour game, it was fine. looks beuatiful at least

A very nice, easy, relaxing game. It owes a lot to games like GRIS and Ori & the blind forest, so if you like those, you will likely enjoy this. It is the perfect antidote if you have been playing soulslike games as this game is simple but still engaging. Beautiful art and music, my only criticism is that it is very short, about 3 hours. Get this game at a discount based on this and you will not be disappointed.

Cute. It's a beautiful game, cool relaxing music, easy to play (you basically cannot get hurt, just... pushed). So.... even for me (who tends to like easy games) it's almost too easy. But charming and beautiful enough to still be worth it. The last part is also very visually beautiful and original. So, I'd recommend it for the pleasure of discovering the beautiful world depicted, but not really for the "gaming" part of it. It would be very appropriate for kids.
