Silver Grapple

For the first hour or so while I was playing this game I was enjoying it and wondering why this never really caught on... my question was soon answered not long after that thought entered my head. Unfortunately this is a case of a game that just isn't very well designed. As you get further into the game (I'm talking like not even an hour in) the window of time your given to make jumps in quick succession *while* making sure you release the button at just the right time to get the correct angle is ridiculously small. While with games like Super Meat Boy and Celeste obviously there will be some level of trial and error to familiarize yourself with new levels & stage gimmicks but in those game I always felt like I was getting better as a player the more I got used to the controls - while here everytime I cleared a difficult section of a level it felt like pure luck after trying it over and over 500 times because I felt like I had little to no control as to what direction/speed my character goes. Difficult platformer with a solid core mechanic. The dev really went out of their way to explore all the different ramifications of the physics-based movement and ways you can redirect your momentum through the levels. Also has a lot of collectibles in the form of journals that let you piece together some of the story.

dont know how more people havent played this but if you have the opportunity to get the game then please get it. its like super meat boy with a grapple and with a little bit of metroidvania exploring. 10/10

I am a total sucker for grapple hook mechanics, especially in platformers, and this game did not disappoint at all on that front. I did however feel as though the artstyle was a smidge too simple at times which made a few of the ways to progress not as clear as I would have liked, but other than that I had a great experience in the small amount of time I spent with this game. A fun adventure with a unique rope swinging mechanic. I found this because I loved the Umihara Kawase series, and while I would say this plays very differently, it was still a lot of fun. It's difficult though, and it's an unusual form of platforming gameplay, but if you're up for that I think it's a good time.

After playing this game, I never want to see another grappling hook again in my entire life. Other than that, this game was really something special! The music was phenomenal, the story was interesting, and the satisfaction of finally beating the final level brought me to tears! I mean seriously! The length of the game isn't that long, but the number of deaths I reached was in the THOUSANDS! Frustratingly great game!
