Ascension: Deckbuilding Game

Uh, it said its a deck building game but I don't see a clear way to actually build a deck.

They have changed the rules. even though there are points left. the game just suddenly ends. It is annoying, I work to get the extra hit points and it makes no difference. It just ends for no reason.

I tried getting into Magic: The Gathering many times, but what always put me off was the sheer number of cards that the game has and the fact that I have to constantly buy, change, and collect them. I'm not someone who enjoys collecting things, so that aspect has never appealed to me. The same goes for Yu-Gi-Oh!, although it at least has some excellent digital adaptations, so I never even bothered trying the physical game. That's exactly why I like Ascension more. You buy a single box and immediately have access to every card in that set, no need to buy booster packs or separate expensive cards. And if you whant more you can buy an addon witch contanes another full set of cards. Moreover, many add-ons are standalone, so you don’t have to buy all of them to get the full experience. The Steam version is even better, as it includes almost every add-on (except the two most recent ones, 'Curse of the Golden Isles' and 'Skulls & Sails'). Since the game doesn't rely on collecting cards, you build your deck during each match instead.
