Faded Stories: Greenberg

good little game short ones they are good for passing time and want short play enjoyable and not hard

Faded Stories is pretty much just more Bad Dream, but slightly toned down. So if Bad Dream was slightly too scary for you, I give you Faded Stories. I guess it's called "Faded Stories" because the stories are fading. Like, whatever was happening didn't seem to have much of a rhyme or reason. But you know, I feel like the first four Bad Dream games were basically that, so it's easily forgivable. Although, maybe "Faded" has something to do with the pencil lines fading, which would also be very clever on the developer's part. And I have to say... our protagonist must be one lonely person if they're having a birthday party with mannequins.

Another great game from the developer. Or rather, a game collection. All of them were quite good; there was just one that was a bit more tedious, as it was sometimes hard to make out certain items, causing me to get a little stuck. For these game collections, I would really just like a save system. Even a simple one like the one in "Bad Dream: Purgatory" would be fine. While the games aren't long, and you can get back to where you left off fairly quickly if you know what to do, having a save feature would still be nice.

Not quite as good as Bad Dream: Coma, but still solid. The puzzles are interesting, and the different player choices are handled in a satisfying way. Some sections are tedious though (especially Corrupted Memory, which is basically just pixel hunting). The secret-related achievements are a nice bonus. Very short game overall.

From the dev of Bad Dreams comes this anthology story in a similar style but a slightly more scaled back form. If you like the Bad Dreams series, you will probably like this too, it has a similar weird, messed up, eerie vibe and totally nonsensical puzzles (but that has always been this series style), there's really no way of soft locking you from what I saw, and the ending of the last epiode has like 7 variations, but you can skip a huge portion of the game, so it's not a big issue. I especially liked the "Propaganda" episode and found it especially clever with the 4th wall breaking puzzles, loved that one. If the entire game was made with that concept I would say this would be the best from this dev so far, the other episodes are not bad, far from it, but that one really hit it home.
