SUCH a good game. A couple of things to know: - It takes a little while to figure out what it's asking from you and what types of moves you can do, but once you do, it has such a fun flow. - The 'tips' menu is really handy for getting the basics, but applying them and really seeing all that you can do takes a good bit of time and experimentation (and possibly watching other people play). - I think the most sensible way to play is right-hand on mouse and left-hand on controller. Aiming wasp is a bit easier with mouse, and controller gives flower a bit more freedom of movement. - You probably won't blink during gameplay. My eyes burn.

really poor performance, unplayable for me. not because it is especially difficult, but because i am playing at around 4 FPS. i know the game is very visually intense but i didn't think such a small game would be so resource intensive. i don't think the game is bad but it could use optimization or in-game options to ease performance.

NIDUS is an unconventional arcade shooter that confidently breaks away from genre conventions by placing players in control of two interconnected organisms rather than a single character. Developed and published by Caleb Wood, the game revolves around a symbiotic relationship between a Flower and a Wasp, each serving a distinct purpose during combat. This dual-control system immediately distinguishes the experience from traditional twin-stick shooters, demanding careful coordination, quick decision-making, and constant multitasking. Instead of relying on familiar mechanics, NIDUS encourages players to adapt to an entirely different way of thinking, creating a rewarding challenge that feels both fresh and deeply engaging for those willing to invest the time to learn its unique systems. At the heart of the experience is the requirement to manage offense and defense simultaneously. The Flower acts as the vulnerable core that must remain alive, while the Wasp becomes the primary means of attacking the endless waves of hostile creatures. Balancing the needs of both organisms creates an intense gameplay loop where every movement matters. The learning curve is intentionally steep, and ea…

game is hard as balls. controls and mechanics are very confusing at first but with every retry you learn more about them, only thing i dislike is the arena being too small it rly makes the game harder than it should be

This game is legendary. I just managed to beat it on the Delicate difficulty (100% hp, 100% score) and wow, this is a tough game. But when you do well, you feel like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god. I already want to try and be the first win on the hardest difficulty.... this game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ underrated.
