It's a puzzle game with a factory theme. It's pretty close in feel to Zachtronics games. Space is cramped, and you have a limited budget for machinery. Your machine also needs to complete within a set time limit. The problem is that the restrictions are too tight. I got totally fed up with getting a solution that worked, but which was still a failure because I used too many parts or didn't complete the solution on time. Instead of enjoying myself, I was frustrated and angry with the completion of each puzzle. The game already has bonus objectives, where you score additional points for completing a puzzle with fewer parts or in a faster time, and a leaderboard where your solution gets ranked compared to other players. That rewards players who want to optimize their solutions. The problem is the *minimum* required has to be highly optimized. A perfectly valid, straightforward solution isn't good enough.

Automate It: Factory Puzzle by South Blue Moon and published by Forklift Interactive presents a compelling blend of puzzle-solving and factory-building mechanics that both challenge and reward players’ creativity. At its core, the game revolves around designing efficient automated production lines using conveyor belts, machinery, and various logistical tools. This focus on industrial automation tasks players with carefully planning and optimizing their layouts to meet specific objectives, all while working within constraints such as space, power usage, and time limits. The satisfaction derived from seeing a complex system smoothly operate is a central appeal, making it a must-try for anyone who enjoys strategic thinking and engineering puzzles. The game offers multiple modes catering to different player styles and skill levels. The Campaign Mode introduces a series of structured challenges that gradually increase in complexity across five distinct worlds. These levels push players to master the core mechanics while also introducing new elements like vertical logistics and multi-step crafting recipes, encouraging deeper engagement with the game’s systems.
