Factory Train: DreamLine

Frostpunk on rails, minus the moral quandaries.

When I saw no user reviews, I was kinda scared to get this, especially at this price. But eh, I went for it. The game is quite good, but it's not *really* worth the full price. I'd say it's worth 5 euros, just because it's rather short, and there's not a ton of stuff you can do. But for what it is, it's cool. Just not for 10 euros. It's really on rails (no pun intended), and the choices you make do matter, but only as a kind of unique upgrade (2x speed on this, or 2x speed on that, kind of choice). But I found that interesting as well. I liked the scenario, you're an AI train at the end of the world and you found a human! And against all odds, you have to bring them to safety. I loved that you uncover the story by visiting the different stations and points of interest, rather than exposition. The mechanics are decent, I found no bugs (actually, I did find one, but it's negligible), I loved the crawlers doing their things around the train. You gain 100% resources back when you deconstruct something and I thought that's awesome, as you will kinda want this especially later on. quite good, sadly a bit short but still good game. i would love a endless mode or something like that, no idea how the scaling in that would work tough

I absolutely loved this game! A factory building survival game works so well with the train. It took me a fair amount of attempts to reach the end and by the time I did I felt like I finally understood how to prioritize everything. The world building while fairly minor added so much to the experience, it made it fun to investigate areas with my crawlers to find out more about the world. Overall I'd recommend it if you're a fan of other building/strategy games
