✦ AI summary

Enotria: The Last Song has beautiful art direction, solid music, and a compelling parry-based combat system that players appreciate, but is hampered by janky gameplay mechanics, poor boss design with inconsistent hitboxes, confusing element systems that force constant weapon switching, and stability issues that frustrate players early on. The exploration and world design show promise, but technical problems and amateurish UI design choices undermine what could have been a solid soulslike experience.

Randomizing and clearing my backlog 61/343 When I first started this game, I had such high hopes for what this game would be. This game turned out to be an unplayable mess. This had so much potential but so many things added up to a miserable soulslike. Positives - It is beautiful The weapons are amazing The music is great World design is actually ok Cons - Boss design is abysmal - Generic, Janky, random hit boxes. They are terrible The element system - A good idea on its face, terrible implementation. Confusing, and makes it where you have to switch weapons constantly. Janky - the whole game itself is a jank fest, the fact they released it like this is insane. Getting hit by one hit can stun you for upwards of two seconds and the only way to get out of it is dodging, you cant take advantage to get a hit in and THEN dodge, nope you have to dodge or parry only. The enemies are repetitive and swing wildly. This game truly was a swing and a miss. Which is a shame because it could have been so great

Strange, I thought this souls-like would have more pizza. - Generally a good experience. - Shader compilation is one of the boss fights. - UI/UX could be better (e.g. inventory is horrid, jump and activate uses the same button). - Some amateurish design (e.g. lock-on range is so short you can't reach ranged attackers). - As per normal for souls-likes, no substantial content other than combat and exploration. - Combat is good but it doesn't matter. Don't bother with anything other than parrying. - The exploration is fun due to the good visuals and interesting locations. - The atmosphere and art direction is different. - There is some attempt to create non-linearity, but not much. - Jumping and platforming again. 🙄 - Some weird terminology that is not really necessary, but it is not difficult to follow. - I think the developers have it in them to make a larger and more fully developed game.

I wish I could leave a mixed review Why tf are they releasing minor updates when the game is this old?

33 Minutes into the game and its already crashed. Was just popping some runes - forgot what they are called in the game and it crashed. Combat feels VERY clunky, but the parry mechanic actually feels good.
