Vampyr

pov: you're a romanian anchor baby in england

good fun game fighting is a bit hard but can get used to it

good vampire game good storyline

Solid 6.5/10 game, maybe a 7. Worth a sale, though if you find it is not to your taste, this would be fair; it's a good concept executed in a mediocre way, with voice acting that is either exceptional or kind of terrible. The combat is a slog that grows on you, then becomes a slog again. The game clearly shows areas where it was rushed. If you're curious, and you can stick with it for a bit, it's worth a play. If not, seek something more highly rated.

This game has been on my list for a while and I am glad to say that it doesn't disappoint. Bought it after completing The Blood Of Dawnwalker, and it is a near perfect filler for the hole that that game left behind. I adore our MC, he is very educated and soft-spoken in some ways that make him ever so charming past his devastation. The two pathways of embracing your vampiric nature and trying to remain human are so fun and exciting.. I can't resist such choices of quarrel within oneself. Thank you DONTNOD for the subtle vampire hunter x vampire old man yaoi.. #neededthat. Beyond that, gameplay is a little clunky at times but fighting is fun, repetitive ofc but fun! Trying to keep everyone alive, or murdering each district is a lovely little walk through a mirror park with broken glass. I LOVE YOU VAMPYR!

Don’t buy if you intend to play on steam deck on tv with an external controller. I’m trying to play this game as a couch-co-op sort of trade off between playing and watching with my partner and we’re unable to play on a TV display with an external controller. I’ve tried every tip online to correct the issue and have had no success. I can play on my computer no problem, so I’m not sure why the controller settings won’t work with the steam deck itself, but it is wildly frustrating. We’ve had to can the idea of playing together, which I think is a shame. I liked the game otherwise.
