Uncover the mystery of the Cursed Islands and lift their curse, guided by a linear quest line. Complete your adventure by leaving the islands or convincing your crew to stay!
Open World
Complete island activities like "Monkey Chase" and "Watchful Seagulls" to acquire shiny plunder. Find fishing spots all over the islands and catch fish to cook especially energizing meals! Find and spend key shards at ancient portal stones to fast travel to locations you have visited before.
Camp
Plant seeds you find while exploring to farm crops and harvest cooking ingredients. Discover new cooking recipes in a puzzle-like minigame. Combine different components at your workbench to craft new items. Expand your camp by building various structures provided by your crew as a reward for the stew.

I would say this game is average, It isn't bad but it isn't anything special either. The gameplay is alright, it's mostly a peaceful or cozy survival crafting gathering game, there is some combat near the end of the main story and as much optional combat as you want at the end game. The story is very generic, The music isn't anything of note, to be honest I just finished it a little while ago and I've already forgotten it. The gameplay loop is well done with the exception of a few instances where randomly the game decides you can't do something because you're in the middle of a quest even though it let you in the middle of other quests. The story itself can probably be finished in 12 - 15 hours if you rush and follow a guide, if you're a completionist add another 7 - 15 hours onto that. In my opinion the side content is a lot more grindy than it needs to be, when I finished the game I was below level 20 on the soup despite making it every time I returned to camp and that slows all of the rest of the completionist content down. In the end I had to go through a painful cycle of sleeping and making soup over and over again so I could get the rest of the unlocks to finish everything an…1 found this helpful

Of note is that while I've owned Stardew Valley since 2019, this was the first “community farmer” I've ever played. My nephew got me this game and it was a fun chill game. My only complaint is the fishing mechanic is frustrating.
