I don't usually review early access unless it's confirmed (or as good as) to be dumped, but this one might never get a so-called full release. updates are constant though, the developer is active and there's already more on offer here than in many other finished titles. unfortunately, even completely dumbed down it's absolutely not for me and I can't be bothered to look into workshop stuff or tweak things myself, but there's a web demo of an earlier version on the dev's website if you're interested. the soundtrack is absolutely fantastic too.3 found this helpful

I'm really enjoying this game playing mostly with a mouse. I'm at 7 hours and it feels like what I like with Don't Starve which is simple on the surface but so much depth to explore. Unfortunately I'll say I didn't feel like I fully understood how to tweak the controls right until 4-5 hours in. I think the game gives too much depth in the settings up front, like which tools to possibly use for which task to do automatically before moving on to the next decision tree. It's great once you get it, but settings at that level would be better being in an "advanced" menu for these things, and have it simplified by default. Again, I'm glad I held out because I can tell its a great survival craft game, but I think a lot of people will give up on reading all the menus before that point. Beyond that, the game is a steal at $8 if you're not turned off by the slow curve to really understand everything. Editing after my ~13 or so hours: I'm not seeing any late game challenge. So I made the boat and explored around and found the world more limited than I expected. I expected something like Don't Starve or Valheim has where you encounter tougher enemies I wasn't ready for and there's …2 found this helpful
