The Settlers: New Allies

I am Long term settlers fan playings since settlers 2. In general this the boring gender neutral version of the game, DEI has its hand in it I assume. The positives - The graphics look kinda nice do very blant. The negatives - Its very slow and no speed up. - the story and cutscenes are extremely boring even compared to what we are used of previous version. - Even the fighting is boring - Soulless, blant and steril Conclusion Is worth 40bucks ? No way, maybe not even 10bucks, just play any of the previous versions is my advice.

decided to give it try, its just too camp everything is so cheerful, the music was so grating, and from what I saw from the cash shop no thankyou.

This game series since settlers 7 has been trying too hard to switch genres from city builder RTS to competitive RTS and it doesn't have the weight or audience to try and become the latter genre. Whilst it does this far better then settlers 7. I miss the style of the old settlers where you gradually built up an settlement and army while doing quests on a large map, that isn't designed as a competitive arena. For competitive RTS you will just be better off playing established games with a competitive / esports scene, and for city builders look to the indie games scene or older titles of this series instead. Single player isn't great and I couldn't get into the campaign due to the awful and completely un-imaginative writing and scripting, and multiplayer drags on to much to warrant playing with random people, so unless you have friends to play with where you can pause and resume matches with then don't bother. However, i will note the resource logistics mechanics are , innovative, well implemented and have potential. At the end of the day this game isnt a colony sim but rather a wanna be comp RTS with slightly more flushed out logistics management mechanics compared to somethin…

this game keeps me busy for many ours i love it but what i least like is not enough maps to choose from

in total as settlers all series - its intresting - points 1) time - you cannot skip time 2) short storyline - i was expecting longer one (and i have delux edition) + points 1) Graphic was nice As i purchase it with huge discount for that price is fine (i wouldnt suggest to buy it for 50 eur)
