Its events take place entirely within an episode of the fictional TV show Night Springs, which Alan Wake used to write episodes for early in his career. The Story and General Plot Alan Wake is still trapped in the Dark Place. Through his writing, he is able to send a projection or a version of himself to a fictional town in Arizona. His main goal in this game is to stop his dark, evil copy known as Mr. Scratch (who I was wondering about after finishing the base game). Mr. Scratch is an entity that serves the Dark Presence, and his goal is to take over Alan Wake's real life, ruin his reputation, and most importantly, get to Alan's wife, Alice. To fight him, Alan Wake finds himself stuck in a time loop where he is forced to traverse through three main locations. so this game is okay its a good add on to Alan wake but it felt cheep at times if you have a fear of spiders do not play this game i am not joking do not play this game i do have a fear of spiders bary is in this game for a little bit 6/10 its ok 1 thing is you need pages to unlock some wepons

Yeah no... Even as a spin-off it's bad. It's basically a time loop and you need to repeat your actions and maps 3 times, then you can finish the story. This shouldn't be canon at all imo
Shortlived but fun, if you played AW1 it continues and somehow even finish depending on your interpretation the story (not anymore now that AW2 is a thing though probably). Much more arcadey and action focused but also with a much more satisfying combat and gameplay loop. Still very short though (finished main story in 3 hours) so maybe buy on sale.
