Very bare bones game, but for the price I have no complaints. It certainly depicts the right sort of vibe and that's really what I found most effective in this experience. Now, I am not sure if there is just the one ending or if different outcomes are possible, but this works as is. I just wish there was more to it.

ARCTIC CTHULHU is an extremely short, PSX-style point-and-click walking simulator that is mostly carried by its atmosphere and graphics. The gameplay consists of mundane tasks like carrying three crates back to your vehicle, while occasionally interacting with a radio, a book, and a man sitting in a wheelchair to learn more about the lore. The game lacks achievements and multiple endings. It cuts short abruptly, leaving you with nothing to do after loading crates and watching painfully slow cutscenes for half an hour. Despite being tagged as an "Exploration" title, you cannot even explore beyond the immediate spawn area. With no collectibles section and no sprint mechanic, you are left walking in circles, wondering if you missed any books scattered in the snow. All in all, it feels so unfinished and rushed that I doubt it was even worth the €0.73 I paid, let alone the €6.15 base price. You can get much better bang for your buck with other €0.49 games.

The only thing this game has going for it is the aesthetics. Otherwise you're just moving around 3 boxes painfully slow to a car and sitting in a short cutscene about 7 or so times until the game just ends. Sorry, but not even worth the $0.75 I paid for it, I can't believe the developer has the gall to charge $6 for this normally
