Play as a detective, librarian, and cursed talking cat investigating cosmic horrors and cults across the globe in this hand-animated comedy adventure set in a creepy Transylvanian town. This lovingly crafted point-and-click features gorgeous HD art, 12,000+ voiced dialogue lines, and a darkly humorous story that balances genuine Lovecraftian dread with moment-to-moment comedy.
Darkham, with its crooked gambrel roofs, dark alleys, and a past shrouded in secrecy, never really was a welcoming place, but nowadays? Kooky cults are popping up everywhere, and that most evil book, the Necronomicon, is spoken of in trembling whispers once more.
Detective Don R. Ketype is on the case to retrieve the mysterious evil tome, but unsuspecting librarian Buzz Kerwan stumbles upon it and accidentally transforms his cat, Kitteh, into a walking, talking abomination. Being humanized? Quite a downgrade.
Gibbous is a comedy cosmic horror game - a modern adventure that is classically inspired, features gorgeous HD art, detailed traditional animation, and a lengthy story that will see the three protagonists travel around the world and deal with abominations both cosmic and human-made, voodoo, and Things That Should Not Be. From Lovecraft Country to Transylvania, set off on a quest to get a very cynical cat to stop talking.

I loved this game . The story , the humour , the art , Kitteh...dang it, it was perfect. For me it goes straight next to Broken Sword series for my all time favorite adventure game. What an amazing Call of Cthulhu adventure , it had everything and more so . It was a pleasure to click and listen to all of the conversations and descriptions. For sure a game to replay in the future. If you like everything: -Lovecraft , -Humor with some cheese, -Classic Adventure games puzzles (there is some moon logic but that is a given and its just a couple of examples out of the many challenges), -ART 2D EYE CANDY (10/10 Broken Sword 1 levels of glorious 2d art , I want more games like this!), -Voice acting ( I did not expect it , it is there and is generally very impressive. The main characters in particular are fantastic thus making it fun to listed to all the descriptions) Then this game is for you! I lost my mind and learned an entire cypher while playing this thing , lost actively 20 sanity points translating until my own cat starting talking to me and we translated several pages togheter. One of the best cthulhu adventures written. The comedy is professional and not just "haha carzy people go weird". Lovecraft intended Cthulhu as a sci-fi myth and they picked up on that well. Story, dialogues, voiceacting, chapter design, puzzles, music, artwork - everything is so well done and put together. I was constantly torn between clicking everything and satisfying my burning curiosity how the story develops. Just supreme, this game is a masterpiece.1 found this helpful
Funny if you like dumb humor, which I do, but some of the puzzles are crazy hard to figure out. I figured them all without looking anything up, but 2 of them took quite a while to figure out.
it is good.
Other than the last few moments of the game, the vast majority of this game just sucked to play. The voice acting wasn't close to decent, the music of the game was painful, and writing just wasn't worthy of Cthulhu. Overall, would hard pass on this one.
It's a fun point and click!
