Astral Vangard :: blast your way through a variety of enemies, randomly selecting upgrades along the way :: while this game feels unpolished, it's still a fun and short experience! 6.5/10
Astral Vangard is a simple shooter with rogue-like mechanics. It may look easy at first, but it becomes more difficult as you progress, requiring some coordination skills in order to beat the various Mecha-Bosses. As an early-access game, I would say it's pretty solid, and I haven't personally experienced any crashes or bugs yet. The game runs very well on my SteamDeck, and the power consumption is minimal. Additionally, it doesn't require an active internet connection to play. I know from the developer that the game will be receiving updates and new content, so it's definitely worth checking out, especially for the few bucks it costs. Note: I was involved in the closed beta.
