Didn't have much time today to put into it, but its a neat little castle wolfenstien-like game, no use key to spam on walls but the first few secrets are fairly obvious and you use the axe to open them. I like how the axe has a stun, makes it useful even later in the game when you go one on one with the begining weapons, hadn't tried on the bigguns. All in all its definetly worth the small price tag and more!1 found this helpful
Nice little FPS in the style of Wolfenstein 3D
I just finished the game and have about two hours on it. It is a very fun game and has a good story to get you invested. By the end of the game you have a good selection of fun weapons meaning you can change up how you play. There are also a good variety of enemies to fight. There are also secrets in the game, so you could replay the game a few times.
Quick review - Nice boomer shooter! Shades of Wolf 3D / Spear of Destiny / Rise of the Triad. It does a great job of building an intriguing narrative and that Doom / Wolf 3D uneasy feeling of not knowing what is lurking behind the next corner is there, while reminding the player that, when all else fails, a trusty axe can solve many problems...
It's a good time.
Very bare bones but super fun, and fairly priced! Would recommend to anybody in the mood for a short retro-shooter romp. I played on the Steam Deck. Only thing that might turn some people off is that you can only aim horizontally, not vertically. So very old school. If you’re cool with that, then definitely pick it up!
