Players overwhelmingly criticize this game as an asset flip built from a Udemy course project, lacking original content and polish. Common complaints include severe technical issues like no in-game settings or pause function, extremely scarce weapons and supplies that are nearly impossible to find, static building interiors, and overpricing at $10.99 for what amounts to a broken tutorial demo. The game relies heavily on purchased Unity Store assets and lacks the depth expected of a commercial release.
So we have a real funny guy as the developer here... He thinks he's real clever.. He buys THIS Unity Horror Game Development course over on Udemy... https://www.udemy.com/course/make-a-horror-survival-game-in-unity/ ..Then he obviously doesn't even take the course or learn anything, but takes the project file that's available and rips all all of the weapons off the map (or hides them and makes them nearly impossible to find).. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWQPgTw7cz0 So basically... This is a STOLEN UDEMY HORROR GAME COURSE PROJECT FILES THAT HAS BEEN BROKEN AND IS BEING SOLD HERE ON STEAM! ..Doesn't that make you really want to support this "developer"?? *coughs for 3 minutes after calling this thief a developer" NOT RECOMMENDED.. Unless you like supporting someone who just STEALS other peoples work and breaks it, and then tries to sell it to you. *no game settings on menu only when you jump into game *pushing esc shuts down game no settings or pausing game *the weird fog affect in the game just sucks *finding weapons is pretty hard since i didn't find anything except for apples and arrows I couldn't pickup *some buildings i could go inside by opening door or already opened door but most were just static buildings *$10.99 is a high price more like $1.99 or $0.99 *the map and bad guys were just purchased from unity store https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVIKcmodoeM15 found this helpful

Warning: Asset Flip!
Bloodwatch is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Gamingscape, took the Make a Horror Survival Game in Unity Unity Store game assets from the real developers, Pete Jepson, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Make a Horror Survival Game in Unity" is just a basic tutorial pack to teach people how to make adventure/horror/shooter games in Unity, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so this copy+paste of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Bloodwatch is a first-person survival horror game developed and published by Gamingscape that places players in a hostile environment where every decision can determine whether they live or die. After a devastating storm destroys your ship, you awaken on a remote island with little more than the hope of finding a way home. That hope quickly fades as you witness the brutal actions of a mysterious cult that has taken control of the island. Once they realize you are a witness, escape becomes your only objective as you navigate dangerous terrain filled with relentless enemies, scarce supplies, and constant uncertainty. The story is intentionally straightforward, focusing on tension and survival rather than an elaborate narrative, allowing the atmosphere and gameplay to take center stage. Exploration forms the foundation of the experience. The island is filled with abandoned buildings, hidden paths, and locked areas that gradually become accessible as you discover different keys throughout your journey. Every new location has the potential to reward careful players with valuable equipment or life-saving resources, encouraging thorough exploration instead of rushing directly toward the …
