The amount of animations is impressive for an old game in a genre that heavily relies on cuts to black to get things done, but that's the only good thing I can say about this game. The story is boring B-movie slop, the characters are downright horrible and the puzzles are mostly irritating or obscure when they do not consist of simply talking to everyone about everything several times anyways. I do not consider it a good game.

Same level of quality as the first game. Very international film. Good game to pick up on sale if you like the genre. Will snatch up the other games on sale as I wait for the newest entry.

This was my first proper point and click adventure game in the classic style, and I enjoyed it quite a lot. My only gripe is that I absolutely had to rely on the hints every now and then, but then again this is a point and click adventure game originally from 1997 so that's kind of to be expected considering the reputation that these sorts of games have. All-in-all, an enjoyable game with a servicable story and fun dialogue, I genuinely laughed out loud a few times. I have played the 1st game and the 5th game now, and I can indeed confirm that you really don't need to play the 1st game to understand this one, aside from a few returning characters this is more or less a standalone game in the series.
