About Cataclysm: The Last Generation

Cataclysm: The Last Generation is a single-player turn-based post-apocalyptic survival game. Based on the all-time classic Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, The Last Generation tells the story of a world where the dead walk, alien horrors stalk the land, and the fabric of reality as we know it has come undone. Despite all this, a few unlucky souls yet survive, and whether the last generation of humanity is destined to die off, or to become something fit to survive in this brave new world is up to you.TLG's primary aim is to preserve Cataclysm's depth and respect for plausibility while refining what it has always done best as a game, foregrounding character progression and immersive life sim elements in a world that will put your survival skills to the test. Dig through the wreckage of shadowy government conspiracies to uncover the truth about the Cataclysm, form your own band of survivors, and adapt to the myriad threats by expanding your arsenal, installing military-grade bionics, or mutating into your own kind of monster.Trailer music "Splatterpunk" provided by Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio.

Fantastic branch of Cataclysm, which is already a fantastic game

Lots of good changes from CDDA, and that diversity strengthens both games. Developer banned me from the Discord when I tried to get involved with the community. Still recommend supporting this, it's a great fork of an open source game and that's good for the art of game development across the board.

It's all fun and games until you become underweight and realize your "enough food" was "enough food to not feel the pangs of burning through all of your bodies emergency supplies"

I'm helplessly addicted to this game. I've tried to play other games and I can't, I just can't focus on anything but this quirky, tough all-apocalyspes survival game. Cataclysm: TLG and DDA both ask a lot from the player just to operate them, but they give so much back just in terms of how much freedom you have to attempt survival. Want to crash a car into a house and leave the stereo pumping loud as can be to attract the whole horde of zombies? Go for it. Then want to sneak out the back door and chuck a molotov in behind you? No problem. Now you can enjoy watching the house burn down and kill most of the zombies. If you can come up with a plan, this game will let you do it—provided you've figured out how the systems work to make it happen. Watch Worm Girl's youtube tutorials; they may be a little dated and from DDA, but they're still a great help!
