✦ AI summary

Players find this indie shooter surprisingly enjoyable for casual alien-blasting action with decent gunplay and abundant ammo drops, comparing it favorably to budget Borderlands-style gameplay. However, the game suffers from rough polish issues including problematic controller dead zone settings that cause menu drift, and some mechanics feel unnecessarily clunky or undercooked, suggesting it's still in need of refinement despite its low price point and fun core experience.

Not Recommended, at least for right now. It definitely feels like someone's first attempt at making a game, which isn't a bad thing. It's also fairly cheap, which is why I'm not straight-up refunding it. However, two stages in, I can already tell some stuff feels "off" about it. Menu movement needed my gamepad to navigate, as the sensitivity for the "cursor" is so high my gamepad's left stick not being perfectly dead center caused it to always drift in some direction - not an issue with the gamepad being old or used, this game must have zero "dead zone" for what is the default neutral position for the stick, the tiniest wiggle in some direction would send it drifting in some direction. Not an issue, but if you have a gamepad hooked up, and you decide to use the mouse and keyboard, it doesn't take any input other than the gamepad - because the cursor is moving, thus mouse input is immediately overwritten. Having some degree of "neutral" for the stick would prevent this. This also isn't an issue once in-game and opening your inventory, as they apparently abandon the same cursor on the main menu for a regular mouse cursor without the super-sensitive dead zone. Ok, so int…

Action + controller friendly + med pack = Indie alien shooter that is like a budget Borderlands. Explore various areas for loot and blast enemies. Action flow can be tweaked a bit. Surprisingly fun shooter where you don’t have to worry about lack of ammo or difficult enemies. The gameplay is still quite good even though it is generic. The whole thing is similar to other third-person shooters, with movement, aim, and firing being your primary controls. Additionally, there is a jump button that is often needed for platforming sections and a roll button that seems unecessary. Although they require different ammunition, weapons work great. Since every killed enemy drops an ammo pack, this is never an issue. A slight hassle is that you need to pick up each pack individually. As the game progresses, you will unlock more weapons, each of which deals varying amounts of damage. When you shoot an adversary, the numbers demonstrate this. Weapons can be missed, so you need to keep your eyes open. The lack of a reload button is the only thing that bothers me. Ammo always runs out during a battle and causes a slow reload animation. Also, you can't run until the animation is over. As a result, attackers can easily take cheap shots at you. This hurts a lot when to take a lot of damage in boss encounters before you can reload your weapon. Enemies are different types of a…
