Dad Quest

The humor is hit or miss. The gameplay is bog standard 2d platformer affair. It's barely a metroidvania. Good dad jokes tho.

Dad Quest, developed by Sundae Month and published by Excalibur Publishing, is a wonderfully strange and surprisingly heartfelt action-platformer that blends absurd comedy with sincere themes of parenthood and growth. Fantastically funny and channelling platformer absolutely love going through this game and hope he gets more attention as it's severely. Underrated can't wait to check out the developers other games

Dad Quest is... fine. Solid 7/10 game. The premise is a bit charming, a bit thin, the characters are simple, as is the gameplay, and the game is too short for any meaningful development, which is probably for the best cause I'm sure the game would be grating if it was longer. The tone is pretty light, and the world you're thrust into is unexplained. It just is what it is. Which is... fine. You throw your kid, or use 'em as a bat, there's some light platforming, and some light exploration. No real rewards for exploring, all the toys are pretty boring power buffs, but, it's... fine. You'll drop in, have an ok time for a few hours and that'll be the end of it. The game looks good enough, and plays well enough.
